Blatchford House
Berkshire
PROJECT TYPE: Principal Contractor
ARCHITECTURE: Ptolemy Dean Architects
INTERIOR DESIGN: Frances Penn
OVERVIEW: Set in parklands, deep in the Berkshire countryside, the Barr Build team took over the extension and renovation of Blatchford House mid-build, providing the safe hands needed at a pivotal point in the project. As well as completion of a matched two storey internal and external reconfiguration and single storey timber clad addition, works included the ‘from scratch’ build of a thatched brick built pool house, pool and external landscaping.
From first point of contact to final brush stroke, the Barr Build raison d’etre was to aid the extended project team in retaining and enhancing the essence of this Grade II* listed residence; with every aspect of the works approached with due reverence.
